CLAUDE WATERMARK REMOVER · DESTINATION TEST
Why does a JSON error report omit my cleaned message?
JSON.stringify(Error) produces an empty object here; an explicit message field retains AB.
What the test establishes
The Error carries the expected message before serialization. Comparing the direct property read, enumerable keys and two JSON strings identifies where the information disappears. An application that exports diagnostic records should select the fields it intends to share instead of assuming every built-in object serializes like a plain record. The fixture deliberately avoids a stack trace, which can contain environment-specific information and is unrelated to the text transformation. A missing JSON field is not evidence that the cleaner erased the original message. Here the selected character is removed first, and the resulting AB remains readable on the Error object.
Reproduce the observation
Save tested-app.js and reproduce.cjs together, then run node reproduce.cjs. Compare its output with the recorded observation. The harness executes the actual homepage callback in a minimal DOM and records its resulting field values and method calls. Destination operations run in Node.js; the homepage DOM is a controlled substitute. Runtime: v24.22.1. No submitted text or genuine Claude output is used.
{
"message": "AB",
"errorJSON": "{}",
"explicitJSON": "{\"message\":\"AB\"}",
"enumerable": []
}Capability boundary
One ordinary Error with no custom enumerable fields is measured. Error subclasses and logging frameworks are excluded.
This Claude watermark remover edits a small selected character set. These callback observations do not establish authorship, detector scores, statistical-watermark removal or end-to-end browser behavior. For real work, keep the original and compare the exact result at its destination.
Primary material and next step
The tested first-party source snapshot and complete harness are the primary material for this page. For broader scope, read invisible Unicode versus AI watermarks, or return to the cleaner.
